In April 2003, the Cranwell Youth Theatre Club was created by Flt Lt Matt Littlecott.

This acting workshop caters for children under the age of 16 with a love of drama, and is run by Peggy Reading; a trained actress and drama teacher. Normal workshops are held weekly between 1800 and 1930 hrs, although more rehearsals are necessary for bigger projects.

The Youth Theatre have been involved in all Christmas pantomimes, most recently "King Arthur", and have entered and won awards in local drama competitions.

In 2004, the Youth Theatre were divided into two age groups (5-12 and 13-16), but these groups still tend to rehearse together.
